Cardboard, Paper Boxes & Paper Bags
- Best Fits: Coated Paper, Uncoated Paper, Brown Craft Paper, and Recycled Coated Paper.
- Why: Paper labels bond seamlessly with paper-based surfaces. Standard permanent adhesives work beautifully here because the porous nature of cardboard lets the glue sink in for a permanent hold.
Glass Bottles & Jars (Wine, Cosmetics, Jams)
- Best Fits: Textured Uncoated Papers (Cotton / Creamy), Coated Paper, and PP Films (White, Transparent, Silver).
- Why:
- For luxury or premium items (like wine or high-end cosmetics), the Textured Cotton or Creamy papers give an elegant, high-tactile feel.
- For bath products or kitchen jars exposed to wet hands, PP films are best because they won't wrinkle or degrade when wet.
Plastic Containers & Squeezable Bottles (PET, PE, PP)
- Best Fits: PP Films (White, Transparent, Silver).
- Why: Plastics expand, contract, and flex. Rigid paper labels will crease or peel off if a plastic bottle is squeezed. PP films are flexible, completely waterproof, and stretch slightly with the plastic container.
- Note: Transparent PP film is specifically popular for clear plastic bottles to achieve that seamless "no-label look."
Metal Cans, Tins & Tubes
- Best Fits: PP Films (White or Silver) or Coated Paper.
- Why: Metal surfaces are completely non-porous. Synthetic PP films grip exceptionally well to smooth metals. Using Silver PP film on metal can create a stunning effect where parts of the label blend seamlessly with the metallic packaging.
